the great pop supplement is a tiny label run from home in london. putting out predominantly self distributed small run releases on (all sizes of) vinyl. (on extended pressings it must be said cargo muck in too). previous releases have seen 45s nut and bolted into 2 hard board squares, painted with black board paint then doodled on by the band, 6" lathe cuts in hand embroidered pouches, 45s wrapped in colour ferris wheel posters, 6 pg booklet sleeves, 50s wallpaper wraparounds, op-art psych sleeves and copious amounts of tracing / linen paper / board etc...
if you've been here before you'll have read about the GPS aversion to the conpacked disc. despite this loathing, this unfancied format will make appearances from time to time- vinyl time constraints being as they are.
digital companies who've been getting in touch of late: please note, that while grateful for yr interest, the gps has no interest in that dubious field of artistic nothingness..
with the "dj tones" spacemen 3 LP currently out there, next up is a 250 copy vinyl version to the long sold out woodcraft folk debut full length "trough of bowland" in beautiful screened sleeves & inners, 45s from cam deas, spoono and melodie du kronk and the long promised jerusalem and the starbaskets LP finally.... plus lots more bubbling away down the pipe.
as each release is ready to order, i'll post info up here, but best bet- and the promise of never missing out on anything, is to email me on [email protected] and i can add yr name to an emailout list. also, check out the website:
for past releases, sleeve pics, availability and all that kinda stuff, check out: WWW.THEGREATPOPSUPPLEMENT.COM
if your stuff sounds right up the GPS street, drop me a line or a pointer to yr myspace page...
