I am here for Dating, Serious Relationships and Friends

About Me

I like to consider myself to be very friendly, intelligent, curious, skeptical, outgoing, and usually up for something new and exciting. I'm constantly curious about things that I don't understand, which includes anything from a person's opinion or viewpoint, to studying something mechanical trying to figure out what makes it work. This means that I tend to watch more documentary shows on TV than anything else, and I hate reality shows with a passion. I'm a skeptic about most things, but not cynical, nor believe in any conspiracy theories. My beliefs and understanding come from science and fact, not emotion, and certianly not religion. This doesn't mean I'm not an emotional person.... quite the opposite is true.I love my family and friends and I value the time that I spend with them, no matter what we're doing. Could be a week long vacation together, or just grabbing coffee for an hour or two, these are the people who know me the best and I know that they would be there for me no matter what. I love to travel and, like my parents, would rather go to obscure places than to common tourist traps. For some reason living with local families in Costa Rica for 3 weeks, or going for a month-long cruise on a cargo ship seeing 20 different ports just sounds like fun.

My Interests

Biking, Hiking, Movies, Friends, Cooking, Hanging out, and of course, Cars. Not a big fan of the bars/clubs anymore. I also love to travel on extended vacations or just a weekend trip somewhere. Staying local is boring!

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who can grab my attention as somone genuine, friendly, and entertaining. Ultimately I'm waiting for that perfect husband to settle down with, own a nice house, nice cars, have great friends, and enjoy the all-American (gay) lifestyle with. I'm all about being open minded, not open season, so I'm generally not "hunting" for that perfect relationship...I feel that it should just happen when everything is right. However, I do like guys who are also intelligent, sophisticated, yet wild, crazy, fun, and energetic. Someone whom I can learn from and someone who can make me laugh; nothing makes me happier than being around someone that I have complete awe and admiration for. Also, I typically only add people I actually know in person, or are at least in the same side of the country! Send me a message first!

Music:

Everything from House, Trance, and Club, to Classical, Jazz, and Singers & Standards. Benny Benassi, Ian Carey, Goldfrapp. Absolutely no Rap, Country, or fat chicks!

Movies:

Office Space is my job, so naturally I like it. Otherwise, I like any comedy, action, and horror movies, but I'll really watch anything if it's good. I may not seem like the kind of person, but I will cry my eyes out to a good drama or love story.

Television:

I only watch a few things: The West Wing, anything on the History Channel, Discovery Channel, TLC, etc. I love tech or history shows. I also like the news and [Adult Swim] if I'm around to watch it. New favorite show, Penn & Teller: BULLSHIT!.I have to say this up front: I HATE REALITY TV. More accurately, I abhor, abominate, despise, detest, execrate, and loathe reality tv in any form, what-so-ever. The thought of putting some rich blond bimbo and her best friend on a show to make complete asses of themselves, or parading young--though often very talented--contestants on stage to compete in an over-dramatized show is not even remotely entertaining to me. I HATE ENTERTAINMENT TV. Get a life! I honestly don't care who's dating J-Lo, why they broke up, what caused it, or who she's going to date next. And I certainly don't care to guess "How much does Kirstie Alley weigh now?".

Books:

God is not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything, Angles & Demons, The Da Vinci Code, Digital Fortress, Deception Point...all Dan Brown's books. Splinter Cell. Magazines: National Geographic, Motortrend, Car & Driver, Popular Mechanics, Popular Science.

Heroes:

In my own personal life, I'd have to say my parents. For everything my brother and I have put them through in life, they're always proud of us no matter what. Someone who can spare 20 minutes of their own time to help someone else. Even if it's as simple as helping an old woman change a flat tire, you are a savior to that person.
