Event Guide & Wedding Directory
If you're looking for entertainment for a wedding or special event, then click on this website for Dallas area acts!!Folk, Jazz, Blues, R&B, Country, Tejano: These are styles you encounter upon hearing Victor Andrada's music. His music has the ability to enlighten the oldest and to move the youngest of listeners. 10 years of experience as a bass player in the Tejano genre became the start of a journey that led Victor to becoming a singer/songwriter. With three self produced CDs (Illuminaste-2000, Walkin' on Eggshells-2002 , Find My Smile- Nov 2005) under his belt, Andrada keeps honing his skills by playing regularly in the Dallas, TX area.
Most recently, Victor's credits include writing, singing, and performing on-camera a jingle for the TV Guide Channel; Featured on National Public Radio's "Open Mic" segment of their website (11/17/04); and writing music for children's television shows currently in development. Victor has gigged with Tish Hinojosa and Eliza Gilkyson, both Texas-based icons. (For the trivia-inclined, Eliza Gilkyson's father wrote "Bare Necessities" along with countless tunes for Disney.)
In an interview conducted in November 2004 by The MainStreet Songwriters Showcase, a Los Angeles based organization, Victor was asked, "What inspires you? Where does your music come from?" His answer: "Inspiration? Meeting other people who are excited about thingsbeautiful placesthe outdoorsconnections with other people -- not the "Hi, how are you doing" type connection, but the "I feel something for you" type dealReality inspires me. Where does music come from? It comes from God. Music was the gift that God put into me that someday, after I grew up some, was to be used not only to bring me closer to people, but also to help other people get closer to other people -- moms and dads to their kids, friends to friends Take the lady who works in the retirement home -- works for little pay, shows up for work though -- the "language" that God gave her to use after she grew up some is being kind to those people who have been forgotten or maybe bring a smile to their faces by saying hello or just talking to them. That's where "music" comes from."
Check Out A Cousin Of Mine And His Band: Pete Ruiz

Marty Christian I met Marty in Austin, Texas several years ago and have had the pleasure of having done shows with him. His style is what I call old school blues; He has a way of playing them with so much feeling that you can't help but feel something or you ain't human!

Band Members: Victor Andrada (solo singer/songwriter)
Influences: Chuck Berry, Fats Domino. Creedance Clearwater Revival and Tejano Music which occupied several years of my life as a bass player in the 90's. I heard everything from jazz, soul, country to rock and blues. When I was a kid, my parents took me to hear accordionist Ruben Naranjo, a well known Texas based musician in the Conjunto genre and I still remember how his simple music made me feel. Thanks to my parents for giving me my first guitar at age 10 and to my dad for showing me those simple chords that after all these years, resonate in my heart and soul now like they did then and will always..
