Natallia Varanets

Biography.Many years ago it was a good tradition in old Minsk to invite musicians for specials events. All people were happy if the brothers Nikolai and Ivan Sudnik played the bayan and viola.Until today elderly people will tell you about waiting for these musicians who lived in the village Sudniki named by them.Information from encyclopedia:In the thirties of the last century the village Sudniki was known as a popular location for the bayan «Sudnik» which was made by Nikolai Sudnik.Nikolai Sudnik – born in 1901 – not only developed this instrument but also learnt to playthis instrument by himself. Due to uniqueness of these instruments Nikolai found interestedpupils soon who also helped him in production. Together with his brother Ivan (viola) they started to perform Marsch , Polka and a self - developed Walz. In 1947 both of them workedin the factory of music intruments in Molodechno. Nikolai Sudnik died in 1974 – his grave still one can find in Molodechno.Nowadays his instruments are used all in Belarus and all over the globe e.g. in Poland, Australia, Germany and Slovakia.Nikolai Sudnik was the uncle of Maria Kasperovich - mother of Natallia Varanets . She was born in Ilya (village near Sudniki), She finished Academy of Artist in Minsk as regiusura ,.Writing poems she met Vladimir Vusotskii , together with Eugenia Yanischits participated in a literature circle and played in spectacles. Having music and poetry in her genes Natallia Varanets followed family tradition.Natallia's career started during school time when her song won in republic's contest «Talantu Minschinu». From this day her song «A teacher» could be listened by Byelorussian people on national radio stations.Studying in Minsk University she met her first producer Usef Mikhalovski and professionalized her performance. Natallia won some local and national contests with her new song «Lubov kak ptitsa».Later she was chosen to work in Music Theater as singer and improved herself as model in model agency «Tamara».Natallia had a lot of concerts and tried herself in playing some roles in films.In 1999 she presented her songs also in the Austrian cities Bregenz and Lustenau. During this visit Natallia met managers from Sony-music (Austria) ….In 2002 Natallia successfully presented her biggest solo concert in Palace of Republic in Minsk. During 2003-2004 she produced a new program with Leonid Belyaev and Urii Sheleg. Most of these songs are still played by the most popular Byelorussian FM stations.Together with Oliver Hintz (Villa productions /Germany) she recorded the song «Stan sudboi moei» which took part in the Byelorussian pre-contest for Eurovision 2005.Natallia now lives near Hannover (Germany) and prepares new songs…
