You have four music junkies (Charles, Paul, Ranier and Tata) endlessly practicing, experimenting with riffs, with ears glued to the speakers deciphering and picking out the smallest variations to make the song perfect. ON WIRE’s first gig was with the now defunct and more plebeian JUNGLE Bar & Grill. Soon after, drawing from their friends and contacts, they got more play time when they jammed at the ritzy VEGA Bar and Restaurant and from then on, front acting with several bands that visited the city of Iloilo.With the resurgence of the acoustic style, the band got picked out to appear occasionally on some local tv shows, special events at the malls, several city sponsored events and as well as year end parties at Boracay Island. Regular gigs with TIJUANA Bar & Restaurant and MO2 brought them closer to the masses.Years of being together and developing a particular style encouraged the band to do their own music and recording seem to be the next step. August 5, 2006 was the first time “Alive” was heard over the radio and it went number 1 in 15 days time on the Radio1 local station
