About Me
Hotbox is a collective made up of DJ's from Southern California and Northern Baja California Mexico, sharing its origins on both sides of the infamous Tijuana/San Diego border. The collective emerged with the joining of these DJ's and there shared philosophy that a DJ shouldn't limit himself/herself to a single style of electronic music but explore with many different styles of electronic music such as electro, tech, minimal, techno,deep, acid, progressive and breaks to name a few. This inturn keeps their sessions fresh, interesting and unpredictable. It is safe to say that all genres of electronic music have merged and spawned new sub-genres and that is what HotBox is all about, bridging between genres in a smooth and coherent fashion. Hotbox is also drawn together by their shared love for the underground euro-sound which is hard to find outside of international DJ sets. Hotbox artists have colaborated with headliners of the likes of Lee Burridge, Daso, Tommie Sunshine, Luke Fair, Paolo Mojo,Sean Miller,Tom Stephan,Crystal Method,Astro and Glyde, MAZI and James Friedman as well as participated in underground shows, clubs, and raves in the San Diego and Baja California area .
