About Me

Tarcutta is an instrumental three-piece based in Melbourne, Australia, that formed in late 2004.Drummer Pete Barrett played in bands Ether, Eden, Ottis 11, Golden Futures, Moll Flanders’ Band and Hoova before joining Justin Buckley (guitar) and Justin Wheelahan (organ), who had been playing together in White Noise. Tarcutta is named after the truck stop town halfway between Sydney and Melbourne, close to where Buckley grew up.Wheelahan also plays organ in Melbourne bands Screenings and the Futuras.
