DJay R, also known as Jay R, has been interested in music for as long as he can remember. Born in San Diego, Ca and growing up in Riverside County, DJay R truly knows how to captivate, motivate, and excite audiences of all ages. Inspired by his father, at age 19, Jay R bought his first pair of turn tables. Soon after, he immediately started practicing his mixing skills with old school vinyl’s his dad use to use as a DJ. He then began to DJ house parties and quickly realized that his hobby had turned into a passion. With his unique style of mixing music, he trades off between his both cultures Spanish and English. It took him a little over a year to land his first club gig, but since then he hasn't looked back. Working for Got DJ's and Spinning at the Iron Wok, Aloha J's, Stampede, Sports Stop and more, he kicks up the tunes and gets your family, friends or co-workers moving to all time favorites including your special requests. With a music library consisting of the great hits of the 80's, Spanish and today's current top 40's, DJay R knows when to play it soft, when to swing and when to rock the night away! He believes the DJ plays one if not the most important role in the success of any wedding, private party, public event or any celebration.
