When Arianna was four years old, she told her parents, "I want to be a singer and an actress on the stage." And she hasn't stopped since.
Arianna sang whenever and wherever she could, self-taught until she was 13 and discovered in a local talent show singing "Think of Me" from Andrew Lloyd Weber's "Phantom of the Opera" by renowned vocal coach Billy Purnel. A year later, she was on stage at Redlands Bowl in "Guys and Dolls."
Other shows quickly followed, including "Into the Woods" and "The Sound of Music." At age sixteen, she landed her first professional role, that of Mabel in "Pirates of Penzance."
While her first love has always been musical theater, she soon began developing a cabaret act, first opening for such luminaries as The Drifters and Josh Groban, then in her own one-woman show, "5 Octaves Off Broadway," which she performed in many venues all over Southern and Central California in intimate venues such as the famed Cinegrill in the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
In 2004 she was invited to study opera in Milan, Italy at the Scuola Musicale di Milano, where she she was the only American, and studied with teachers from La Scala Opera House. Then on to the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival in the Buxton Opera house in Buxton, England.
There she performed in the title role of "Patience" in the Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, and coached with legendary soprano Valerie Masterson in preparation for reprising her role as Mabel in a concert performance of "Pirates of Penzance." After a brief visit with family in California, she was off to Bangkok, Thailand, then New York City and more singing and performing.
Arianna is currently back in New York City. She can be seen most Sunday nights at the Algonquin Salon: http://www.algonquinhotel.com/algonquin-salon for details.
