Grammy® nominated jazz vocalist CHRIS BENNETT is a down-to-Earth music diva, synonymous with the Southern California jazz music movement she helped pioneer as a successful songwriter and favorite recording artist.A protegee of Giorgio Moroder, Bennett rose to fame as the face, name and lead vocalist of the disco music group Munich Machine, for which she recorded their biggest dance-music hits including the disco classic "A Whiter Shade of Pale."
A bona fide Casablanca Records disco diva as well as a hand-picked background singer on many of Donna Summer’s biggest hits, Bennett distinguished herself by co-writing the lyrics and recording the vocals for the Grammy® nominated "Theme from Midnight Express.†She also recorded the only vocal duet album of Giorgio Moroder's music career, "Love's In You, Love's In Me."Her songs have been recorded by the likes of Tina Turner, Keb Mo and Suzi Lane, but a switch to jazz music in the early 1990s proved to be Bennett’s true calling, and, ever since, she has toured the world as a premiere jazz vocalist. She continues to tour, perform and record.
