About Me

..
Formed in 1997 by Mike McClendon & Nick Farrow from the remnants of their youth, the music slowly evolved and matured, like slow cooked stew and then finally in the winter of 2007/2008 it finished and was unleashed on the world. You can buy our album directly from our website at www.soulwash.com it is $12.99 USD + shipping

We NEED your support. We are dependent on you to help us promote our music, word of mouth is the best form of promotion out there. So please tell your friends, and ask them to tell their friends as we made this album with all of you in mind. We appreciate what you have done so far, but just listening and moving on is not good enough, we won’t survive at this rate. This is a top notch album for an unbelievably awesome price. When was the last time you bought a great album for $13?
We want to keep this music in the hands of us and our fans and we’re not in this to get rich, we are in this to inspire and make a positive difference, but we need the money to sustain that dream and provide years of more. We already have the next two albums outlined and partially recorded. However, if we don’t make waves with this album, the outlook for the following albums is bleak at best.
All people have ever done with our music is try and take it, we are willing to give, but not if people are so willing to just take it. We are in no way affiliated with the music industry, quite the contrary actually. Our chance to sell out came and went 7 years ago when Bob Weir, of The Grateful Dead told us we were the best guitar and bass combo he had heard since Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin. We also had a chance when a friend played a crappy old demo for record execs in NYC, they were more than impressed and ready to sign us on the spot. We declined both of these for one reason, to maintain the quality and integrity of our music, for our fans.
We are and sure you are tired of buying "the next great album" only to be sorely disappointed. So having a knack for making good music we decided to go against the industry (that has violated music so) and do it ourselves. We are tired and frustrated with the direction of music and the music industry, everyone has sold out, even Bob Dylan WTF?? So obviously things have gone WAY askew and know we are here to prove that music is still an art form, NOT corporate pasteurization. Music can do amazing things, save lives, open minds and make a difference. Listen to Pink Floyd’s "What Do You Want From Me" off of Division Bell and realize that they aren’t even satisfied with what their music has done. And that’s what we are trying to change.:)
