About Me

Music has been a part of my life from an early age. I realised when I was young how music could change your mood and brighten up your day. As a child I could'nt get to sleep unless there was music playing. I learnt to play the trumpet and then the trombone and the experience of playing an instrument proved to be invaluable when it came to DJing and music production.Growing up in London led to a lust for partying in my teens and this brought me to house music. After years of clubbing at more comercial venues like Bagleys, Turnmills and the Ministry of Sound a friend took me along to my first tech-house party, Kerfuffle. I was immediately hooked on the music and the party vibe. This was my introduction to underground house and partying and was what led me to purchase my first decks. With my first decks purchased in Sep 2000 it was'nt long before I was playing at my first party. I was lucky to have a good friend show me the basics of mixing and this coincided with getting together with my girlfriend and being introduced to lots of DJs who had been playing for years. They all encouraged me to start playing out at parties. So it was, in May 2001 I got my first chance playing at a Teethout party. Now, more than 5 years on I have played at parties including Whoop Whoop, Peg, Cavort, Sizzle, Random Beatz, Sculpture, Kerfuffle, Locomotion, Synthetech Sunday, Bendeleg and Fuddel Duddel, and venues including Egg club, 414, Traffic, The Telegraph, Jamm, Bar Latino, Zsar bar and The WhiteHorse. I have been lucky enough to play alongside the likes of Dave Mothersole, Asad Rizvi, Richard Grey, Bionic Bump Band, Jane Fitz, Nathan Coles, Tom Baker, Nat C, Bob de Rosa, Liz Edwards, Colenal, Paul Soul and Cristian Vargas to name a few. I have had residencies at All Things Nice, Teethout parties and Deepdown and have gained vital experience of playing different styles of music according to the crowd. My mixing has taken me to play in France, Germany and more recently to the Lifehouse in Sofia, Bulgaria. There have been numerous appearances on internet radio shows including pirateradio.net, rautemusic.net, myhouse-yourhouse.net and pulseradio.net. Appearances on Paul Souls Urban Echo led to me co-hosting the show and eventually taking over the reins from Paul. The last year or so has seen some big changes in my life, with the birth of my daughter Leia in 2005 and my son Joe a year later and a move from London to Finland. I now reside in Porvoo, just outside Helsinki with my partner Hanna, my two kids and two cats. The last year has seen me take a change in direction with a lot of my time now devoted to making music, although I am first and foremost a DJ and get my biggest buzz from playing to a bumping dancefloor!
