Dj Black stars spinning in his early teens in hometown Montevideo, circa 1989. Pioneer of the the RAVE movements, he has devoted his musical career to electronica and dance, strongly influenced by German band "KRAFTWERK", in a self-seeking process which has led him to an unsurmountable passion for abstract music.His revolutionary ideas drove him to create his own pirate radio in Uruguay, a little "borrowed" time in the national airwaves. At the same time, he also spinned at raves, clubs and private parties, polishing his "scratchs" and "backspin" techniques and even mixing vinils with rythmn machines and live synthesizers; a very progressive, experimental excercise that earned him Best Technique and Best Showman in the dj-ing world.Dj Black has shared the trays with such names as Diego Ro-K (Ar), and Carla Tintore (Arg); Marcelo Castelli (Uy); Dj Misjha (Zurich),Dj Jumping Jack ("Oxa", Zurich); Carlos Diaz ("Pacha", Ibiza) and Nick Sentence (Nucleuz Records, UK),Sean Cusick (UK),Mistress Barbara(It)among others.Imaginative and charismatic, he enjoys public recognition in Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Cancun and Miami, where he's set camp with partner Dj Maurizio Ruggiero (Clubs "PRIVE" "Mansion" and "B.E.D."). They both currently carry on the after-hour scene in the city with their company Miami Underground Movement.A resident of the clubs in Miami, such as "Nikki Beach", "Pearl" and "Lime Bar" (Sundays After Hours), "Privilege", his sets can also be heard every Tuesday @ The Womb Radio (www.wombmusic.com).
