About Me

"It is our professional job and responsibility as teachers, historians, artists, and performers to honestly and truthfuly inspire and educate while entertaining about the harsh relties and extreem hardships the human heart and condition must over come during our life times as we survive and endure, and hopfully conquer against all odds no matter how much it is un-popular or not in style with the main stream public. Believe it! The theatrical experience for the esacpe from daily reality is based upon the truth of peoples crisis, pitfall and fears. So, get over it! There is beauty in the truth. Exposing embarrassing and as compromising as it maybe sometimes. And you know this statement will likely haunt me in the future." Me You can qoute me on this.
George Bernard Shaw once said;
'An American has no sense of privacy. He does not know what it means. There is no such thing in the country.'

Therefore: Hi. My name is Mike a mostly a Irish Scott's man with a just a touch of German to boot. I can be a bright Libra with insight, resolve, and fairness abound that, when not on strike or in between gigs, works in the entertainment indrusty as a professional performer.
"The Process IS more important than the Goal" (Method Acting).
I act, direct, and produce depending on the project at hand. I plan on retiring in Gallway, Ireland although I adore Paris. I have traveled most of the world.
I have worked twords my BFA from Cal Arts. I have worked in Film, TV and Stage. I also coach and teach method acting. As owner of a DJ company and have a vast diversity in music. Proposal for Instruction
A proposal for instruction in the following concepts and techniques of thoughts, words, and actions:

Mind: Introduction to specific Script Analysis Definitions for properly expressing ideas to words that other actors understand; the theatrical terms designed for improving communication clarity for an actor helps with confidence, presentation, self esteem, understanding, and how to use them with the text and/or improvisation. We explore some of the different 'Method' philosophies for the actor with specific intent methodology (physical actions. i.e.: I want, I need, or I desire something.) in developing a realistic presentation of a character within the text, while exploring "The process is more important than the goal" theory and the basic 'Zen' concepts, using terms from Webster's dictionary and other theatrical definitions.

Body: Introduction to specific techniques designed for improving balance, confidence, discipline, endurance, flexibility, imagination, self awareness, and strength for any of the physicality of a text. Basic Tai Chi Ch'uan I most commonly use; exploring the the movements of the form and body's sprit, 'Chi', created by the movements assist in the process of learning: endurance, balance, interaction and collaboration with fellow performers, and breath control. Then, we  integrate the  imaginary sensory skills, energy control, and the ideas created from these physical exercises into a text and/or improvisation.

Voice: Introduction to specific techniques exploring  exercises for the movements of the face mask and upper/lower body designed for improving breath control, confidence, imagination, projection, resonation,  vibrations of the actors' inner and outer body, the vibrations and the resonation caused by theses sounds, the images and emotions created by practice of theses sounds, projection of this work while integrating them into a script or scene and/or improvisation.

Speech: Introduction to specific techniques designed for improving clarity, diction, presentation, pronunciation using Phonetics; movements of the mouth, lips, throat, and tongue. We explore the feelings and sensations caused by theses moments with tongue twisters and pomes, and integrate them in a script or scene and/or improvisation.

Performance: At the end of the eight to twelve week program, we have a presentation of a script, scene and/or improvisation using the 'Mind, Body, Voice, and Speech' techniques with believability and artistry.

In this manner using 'Method' concepts and techniques for inspiration, the student (no matter what age), learns how to use the instrument the way it was intended for performance and personal growth throughout life.
