About Me

Click Here to Visit My Website and Check Out Our New Home Page!

My name is Susan and I'm a TV and web producer. I am one of the people behind the Coast Guard Channel, a new web-based TV network focused on creating programming about the Coast Guard--from films to webisodes to DVDs--all geared toward highlighting what Coasties do every day!

Our work about the Coast Guard has won awards and respect. With on-scene footage from actual rescue or law enforcement cases as well as new footage, combined with views from real Coasties, we’re working to tell the best and most entertaining stories possible.

DVDs currently available from the Coast Guard Channel include a dramatic, behind-the-scenes look at rescue swimmers (the men and women profiled in the Touchstone Pictures production “ The Guardian ”) to phenomenal and even tragic stories of heroic rescues from air and sea. Our newest releases are "High Seas Cops" and "On the Wings of Eagle" (about the Coast Guard Cutter Eagle). Webisodes and special features profile other missions of the Coast Guard. We’re proud of our Coast Guard and want to make sure our work does them justice.

It's cool to meet Coasties here and to be able to hear about your experiences. I've been posting videos from our web site and news about things we're doing so you'll know what's up. You can also explore the programs available now on Coast Guard Channel. If you’d like to join our mailing list and learn of other titles as they become available, please click here .

Hats...er, covers...off

I just posted the next webisode of It's Just Eight Weeks and I know that I wouldn't survive what these recruits do. It's amazing to me how much they put up with. Granted, I understand the principal. ...

Super Bowl Sunday

I should be home, sitting in front of the TV, drinking a beer, eating junk, and watching the game...and the commercials. But there's just too much to do. We launched the series It's Just Eight Weeks...

Where has the time gone

On the Road Again

It's good to be back in production. Well, I'm not actually in production but we have a team that is (someone has to hold down the fort). A few weeks ago we shot at the Coast Guard Training Center in ...
