Toby was born in Nuernberg, Germany on April 29th 1977.
He started playing the piano at age six and trumpet at the age of 13.
Today he is one of Europe's top Leadtrumpetplayers with engagements in the
VAO (Vienna Art Orchestra),
George Gruntz Concert Jazz Band,
Sunday Night Orchestra,
Gansch & Roses,
Al Porcino,
Peter Herbolzheimer's RC&B
and others.
He is also freelancing with the WDR, NDR and HR Radio BigBands in Germany.
During all this work he played with such musicians as : Randy Brecker, Jim McNeely, Maria Schneider, Clark Terry, Bob Mintzer, Benny Golson, Bill Holman, Joe Lovano, Ack Van Rooyen, Conte Candoli, Dianne Reeves, Nils Landgren, AlbertMangelsdorff, Abdullah Ibrahim, Jack Bruce, Les Mc Cann ...
Toby also played Trumpet for Popmusic acts like
