In 1996 a group of young North London guys came together and formed the Gee Crew. Mr Dagz, Longers, Scribbz, Sqeaky and Buju, began their career in the music industry playing at small venues and house parties. 10 years later the G-ents, as they are now known, are still together and growing ever stronger. The G-ents have played at some of London’s most premier hotspots and are amongst London’s finest DJ, MC and Promotions crews.
In 2003, by popular demand, the G-ents launched their first club night ‘Cocktail’ in collaboration with other promoters. The success of Cocktail gave birth to their own event ‘How to be a Gent’ in 2005. Both ‘Cocktail’ and ‘How to be a Gent’ have been so successful that the venues for these events have had to be changed to meet the demands of the crowds they attract. The popularity of these events is due to the hard work the G-ents have put into creating classy events, where the people dress so sexy, the music is so heavy and the atmosphere is so mind blowing – these boyz always make you wanna come back for more!
Without a doubt, whenever the G-ents play out, music is played to cater for all tastes, R&B, Hip Hop, Bashment, Rare Grooves, Reggae, Slow Jams and more. For the G-ents, it’s not just about spinning the tracks on the tables but the love of music. You can feel the sense of fun in the air whenever the G-ents are about and when they play Cameo’s ‘Candy’, the whole place are on the dance floor, beckoned by Longers, it’s like the scene out of The Best Man. If you see any of the G-ents play out or even at one of their own parties, make sure you say hi, as they are 5 of the most down to earth guys you will ever meet! Look out for the next event and make sure you don’t miss out!
The G-ents would like to thank all of their friends, old and new, for their continued love and support!
