Many people(especially christians) will say "God doesnt say you cant eat animals" and "People in the Bible sacrificed animals as well as ate them!"
But what they might not realize is that sacrificing was done in the Old Testament days... and that Jesus Christ sacrificed himself on the cross at Calvary for our sins. He was the last sacrifice needed to wash away our sins.
And nowhere in the bible does it say "thou shall torture animals!"
NOT ONE SINGLE PLACE!!!!
Hundreds of thousands of animals are tortured each day so that we can eat them.
I find that a little ridiculous!
Animals are poked and prodded..
They are forced to live in tiny cages, or to stand their entire lives on concrete slabs.
They are defeathered, and skinned alive...
Boiled, and beaten!
They have limbs, beaks, and tails.. Torn, ripped, or sliced off...
Where is the Justice in that?
"Well we need to eat!" says some,
I'd rather starve!!
Did you know it takes ten to sixteen pounds of grain and feed to make one pound of edible meat!
Thats 10-16 pounds of grain!!! thats TEN TO SIXTEEN POUNDS, and all you'll have to show is 1 single pound of meat. just one pound!
What if you could solve world hunger.. by not eating meat.? Would you do it?
I know I would!!!!
Or you could look at it this way..
2/3rds... thats over half, of the United States Oil/Gas is used in the distribution, machinery and operation of animal Warehouses(or as I like to call them Murder facilities)
THATS 2/3rds!!!!!
If less people eat meat... That means you save money at the pumps!!!
God may have put animals in the world for us to eat, but not to torture...
And lets face it, thats exactly whats happening.
Animal farmers arent going to change their ways..
IT HAS TO START WITH YOU!!!
