WEM Center

The Wayne E. Mitchell Center has 501 C3 Community Organization located in Charlotte, NC. Our staff is dedicated to educating families with programs such as Violence Prevention, Cultural sensitivity, Victim Rights and many more programs that will help preserve the community they live in. The center also will provide fun and exciting programs for our youths to get involved in such as Talent shows, Fashion shows, Drama and many more.The core program that the center will offer will focus on the segment of the population that is most highly victimized by law enforcement through racial profiling, misconduct and other incidences of wrongful deaths. The center will seek to establish a viable means to addressing police misconduct and brutality and to identify the behavior through effective communication. The center also wants to make sure that our clients understand that police officers play a very important part in our lives and the safety of our communities. Assistance will be offered in the form of workshops and seminars, educational programs, access to legal aid and community outreach programs.Our mission: To preserve all communities through various educational venues, community awareness activities and innovative programming. Our center also works with our youths and design programs for them that are fun and exciting such as fashion shows, talent shows, play acting.Through our mission and this center, we strive to:Invest in our clients and help build confidence and self esteem.
