Hamburg based music lover Constantin Groll is one of Germanys finest DJ’s in soulful and deep
music from all across the board. House, Disco, Boogie, Broken Beats, Detroit Techno and a variety of other styles of retro and future Soulmusic find their way into Constantin’s sets.His biography to date is kind of classic: He got a lifelong addiction for music, started to spin records while studying in Passau in the early 90’s, quit university a few years later to concentrate on DJing and a variety of dayjobs in the music industry and kept following this path ever since .Especially after moving to Hamburg in ’98 things started to fall into place. While he’s been spending his days working for several distributors and records shops over the past years (PP, Container , presently since 2001 Word And Sound ) alongside writing liner notes for several album releases and reviews for music mags such as ‘Groove’, he’s been regularly rocking the decks at some of Germanys finest clubs at night and also threw it down in other European countries like Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Russia.Apart from playing clubgigs Constantin also got into webradio. He started an excellent online-radioshow entitled ‘Global House Connection’ back in ’98 together with his ex-flatmate, reknown Housemusic producer Lars Berenroth, who had been Constantin’s regular DJ-partner before Lars moved to LA in 2004. The show is still up and running, whenever Constantin finds the time to produce fresh mixes he does so for sure. ( www.globalhouseconnection.com )In 2005 Constantin joined the infamous St Pauli Sound Supporters, an 8piece DJ collective that has been responsible for several legendary nights of madness and mayhem at FC St Pauli’s very own pub located next to the clubs stadium in the heart of Hamburg’s red light district.Furthermore Constantin is about to start a new regular clubnight in Hamburg dedicated to deep House and Disco stuff soon and is up for bookings.Able to keep a crowd moving with a pure soul/ disco / boogie oldschool selection as well as with the finest in contemporary house music, he prefers long sets encompassing different styles, tempos and decades of deep dance music. If you’re into a DJ who can rock a place with knowledge, wisdom and deepness – don’t look any further….
