Donâ€™t talk. Just write. Unload all of your feelings. Donâ€™t worry about what anyone thinks right now; the eloquence of your words or the profundity of what you address. This is an intimate momentâ€¦release what must no longer remain dormant; confer all that must no longer stay quiet and inactiveâ€¦that's the point of this strange monologue. Every breath means something beyond what can be understood at the present; each occurrence blending masterfully into the other without my even knowing it. Someone toils away in, through, and around me while I fitfully feel and hear others say that I alone am at the helm. But isnâ€™t this my desire? To KNOW that it's not I who is busy at work, creating a beautiful tapestry that my isolated will and ill-equipped whims cannot suffice to compose? How could I conjure enough structural integrity, formulate such incomparable appeal, or interweave such heavenly counterpoint? I simply cannot. I fall miserably short. I remain insufficient in and of my lone self. That is why I even bother thinking such thoughts and going to such efforts of expression. And that is just fine. So let it beâ€¦
After starting my newfound life since giving my heart to God, I must echo the words of Paul by saying:
"But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.
What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things.
I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christâ€”the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith.
I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead."
