T.MAFIA (LT, BIG.T)

TMafia is a group of four rappers and two singers which was officially set up in 2001. In the words of LT, “TMafia is unique in that it merges North to the South of England, thereby introducing new and fresh talent across different regions”. It all started when LT released his first single in 2002, ‘I See You’. It was hugely popular with the ladies, and they wanted more. After releasing a few more tracks over the past few years, including ‘Pack Straps’ ft. Pak-man, LT soon began to realize his potential. Along with his elder brother BIG.TEE, LT got together with his friends BIGz and HUZ and discussed setting up a music group. After great discussion T.Mafia Music Group was born! When asked why this name was selected, BIG.TEE says, "We are already known in North England as T.Mafia, and it would be confusing to have two names. Moreover, Mafia describes our lifestyle".The four rappers include BIG.TEE, LT and his childhood friends. The only new additions are the singers. "The two singers completed the Music Group", LT says.Set to release their first project, the 25 track mixtape gurantees nothing but street and club bangers. Tracks including 'Middle Finger' and 'We Run It' are already receiving much credit. Of course, theres a few for the ladies; 'Honey' and 'Bottom Line'. Honey is set to reach the airwaves sometime soon, so keep listening to your favourite radio stations.T.Mafia have been working with some hot producers from South London, including P (producer of 'Middle Finger' and 'Honey'), VersA (producer of 'Get Down' and 'Its Real' ft Pak-man), Pakstar (producer of 'Bottom Line' and the popular 'We Be Rolling').T.Mafia was asked why they had waited till 2007 to release their first official mixtape. LT said, 'We were waiting for the right time. We were building our talent, gaining experience until we felt we were ready to take the streets by storm - and now is that time".T.Mafia are certainly not playing around, they have actually recorded 35 songs but have selected the best 25 and hope to release a few of the others as singles between this mixtape and their next.In anticiaption of their release, it is understandable that there is a myst around T.Mafia; who are they? Where are they from? The very title of their mixtape 'Welcome To The Family' suggests that those questions will be answered.
