Sgt. Norman Piltcher

Sgt. Norman Piltcher (formely Chasing Charlie) has just recently been pieced together as a band but since the summer of 2004 lead vocalist and guitarist Darrell Jansen(PCM 05 grad) and bassist Mike Street(L-S 05 grad) have been friends and have been playing togther since early 2005. After some time learning and jamming with anyone that would play with us we decided to take it to the next level and find a drummer. Within a few weeks Josiah VerWoert(HS 05) emerged and instantly we all clicked. Afew months went by and we were having trouble finding good places to practice but then near the end of the 2006 summer DJ bought a house and allowed us to hit the music hard. After some time we realized somthing was missing, thanks to myspace Mike stumbled across an old friend,Shawn Knox(L-S 02 grad) who decided to start playing guitar around 3 years ago and was currently not in a band but was looking to find someone to jam with. So far we have played at the pella memorial building twice and we also played at bowlfest in newton on 4-20-07. Its hard to find bands of the same genre in iowa so if you know of any send them our way. If any bands are interested in playing a show with us just leave us a comment and well get back to you asap. We are currently working on getting some better recordings the ones on here were done with a single mic in the center of the room not to bad sounding when you look at it like that. We do have shirts for sale for 10 bucks just mediums and larges left.
