About Me
Hi There... I'm Miguel Camilo and i'm a musician (guitar player) and for 6 or 7 years now becoming a producer.
Started to play guitar at the age of 9, learnig with DUDAS (FICÇÕES, RESISTÊNCIA), I soon realized than this was something i just loved. AT the age of 16, I started to have lessons with GONÇALO PEREIRA, who opened my eyes about being a real musician and teached me so much more that just scales or chords...
In 1996 I started to play professionaly with covers bands, playing mostly in bars, but also playing in big bike shows, or other events. in 1998 (19 years old), i had the opportunity to join my first big project. FÚRIA DO AÇÚCAR (JOÃO MELO'S BAND), with musicians like RUCA REBORDÃO (percussion), CIRO BERTINI (piano), MARCUS BRITO (bass), i learned so much and had so much fun at same time... since then, i've been playing with several artists like PEDRO CAMILO, NUCHA, MERRY C.(Finland), MENITO RAMOS, JORGE VADIO, RITA GUERRA, FERNANDO PEREIRA, BETO, FEIO & FRIENDS (Antonio Feio's Band) among others smaller projects, but not less important...
I'm working also in my project, TIMELINE, that, hopefully, will be released next year. In this project I'm having the opportunity to work with musicians like RUCA REBORDÃO (percussion), CIRO BERTINI (piano, double bass, accordeon), DIKK (freless bass), MARCUS BRITO (fretless bass) DAVID JERÓNIMO (drums), MAURO RAMOS (drums), NELSON SOBRAL (drums), among other guests yet to come...
As a producer i started 7 years ago and i've been doing lots of Demos, EP's and producing Full records for artists here in portugal. I worked with bands like MERRY C.(Finland), SIDARTHA, CONCEALMENT, SEDA SELVAGEM, and solo artists like CHRISTINA Q., ED SANTANA, JERÓNIMO, PEDRO CAMILO, SOULMATES, BRUNO CORREIA and much more.
I also have been doing a lot of studio sessions for other producers, like MENITO RAMOS, LUIS JARDIM, GONÇALO PEREIRA, NELSON CANOA, among others..Other, very important, part of my work is teaching. I starded with private lessons when i was 16 and i never stopped teaching. Teached for 5 years in Musicland (Mafra's Music School) and now teaching in RMP Music School ( ALCOCHETE )and also continuing with private lessons.
