I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Hi Guys,
Thank-you for checking out and welcome aboard my myspace site.
I first created my site in early 2007 and since then it has given me the opportunity to communicate with friends - old and new.
Well as you can probably see I drive a V8 Supercar for Triple Eight Race Engineering, commonly known as TeamVodafone. Racing is my life, I love it. Most of my friends also race cars so no matter what we are doing, conversation always seems to turn racing. To be honest, I would not give up racing for anything. I love the sport and the people within it. I love the challenge, and the intensity of a race weekend. I struggle to accept failure, and live for the next win. I drive for the best team, and I have the best team mate. Between all the hard work, there is never a dull moment and we have alot of fun along the championship journey.
Most people ask me “what does a V8 Supercar driver do during the week. Can’t be much?” Well if you ask any athlete trying to be the best they can be, you will find their work load is substantial. I have no limit to my job. I am always trying to be a better competitor via fitness training and preparation. I also have an input into the design and development of the race cars which in our team is 95% of the total package. I also have a big obligation to my personal and team sponsors which involves promotional activities all over the country every week. Mix all that up with 14 race meetings a year, leaving around the Tuesday before and returning home the Tuesday after. There is not alot of time for anything else.
For some reason I love all sports, I can watch any sport for hours, but I like participating. I love my Tennis, Football, Cricket, Golf -anything. I like Water Skiing on the Murray River, Jetskiing at the jumping Pin, but overall I can’t get enough of getting out on my KTM 450exc. Riding my bike in the country with my mates is my favourite past time. But unfortunately whether it's a casual kick of the footy, or a social ride with the boys, I can't help but turn it into a competition. Then if no one wants to compete or race I will compete against myself.
I love trying to find the limit, but to find the limit you need to apply the time. Therefore I only expect my best on the race track. So overall I never like to plan to far ahead, I tend to live by the Vodafone slogan "making the most of NOW".
So whats the future hold for me? I have no idea. I have goals that I focus on which I will not give up till I complete. To complete I will have to work hard and make some sacrifices. But if I work hard enough I will be rewarded, and those rewards are more than money can buy.
Thank-you for reading and remember to always keep smiling.
