I'm an historic building in downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I house the Sawtooth School for Visual Arts, a thriving arts center. We teach a lot of great classes including:
Metals: welding, jewelry making
Glass: lampwork, bead making
Ceramics: hand building, wheel throwing
Graphics: painting, drawing, collage
Photograhy: digital, film
Fibers: fashion design, weaving
Youth Classes: Everything and the kitchen sink
Our instructors are top-notch, very talented, great, wonderful people. They are MIGHTY! We want everyone to make art and we are here to help them learn.
No matter who you are, no matter what you want to make, WE CAN TEACH YOU HOW!
Sawtooth School receives general operating and project support from the North Carolina Arts Council, Arts in Education program, Visual Arts and New Realities programs and funds awarded through the Grassroots Initiative Program. Sawtooth also receives partial project support from the Winston-Salem Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, and funds distributed by The Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County.
