I've got far too old, fat and lazy for my liking in 2006, so new year, new start: squash, gym, running, swimming, maybe even water polo again, you never know!I'm going to make the effort to go to more gigs, be more adventurous and see stuff I don't know. I will try not to faint at them. (Big puff!)I want get about more and to see more of our lovely country!I will read more!I will definitely continue with the drinkage, danceage, seeing my mates and having a laugh.
Anyone really, it's all good fun! Unless you're an axe murderer...
Bands I like include: Oasis, Bloc Party, Rolling Stones, Stone Roses, The Smiths, Chili Peppers, Arcade Fire, Editors, The Libertines, Dirty Pretty Things, Queens of the Stone Age, Muse, Interpol, Garbage, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jimi Hendrix, Placebo, The Doors, The Specials, The Doves, The Futureheads, No Doubt, plus most Motown music, a bit of old skool blues (my Dad's influence), plus ska for a bit of skanking. A bit of anything really apart from cheesy pop!
I'm still quite rubbish at films, but films I've enjoyed in the past: Seven, 24 Hour Party People, Da Vinci Code (book is better though), Pirates of the Carribean, High Fidelity. Oh yeah, Monty Python Holy Grail is one my all-time faves!
I'm a soap loser - Corrie and Eastenders, yay! Love comedy - Blackadder, Shooting Stars, Bottom, Friends, Have I Got News For You, The Simpsons, Family Guy. Bit of high quality crapness too like Neighbours, Hollyoaks, Supernanny etc. I do have some kind of life, promise...!
I've recently been reading Nick Hornby books - I love High Fidelity. Currently reading Deception Point by Dan Brown and have read all of his others (as has virtually everyone I guess!) Like a good classic occasionally too like Jayne Eyre or Wuthering Heights.
Ok, so it's cheesy, but my lovely Mum! :-)
