About Me

Daniel Chetcuti (Dtraum/Mutex) started his journey into the music world when he was only twelve years old by experimenting with basic software using loops and samples. As time moved on, he discovered and explored more professional software and realised that the one he was using before had nothing in comparison to the new programs. After two years of playing with his music software, Daniel has developed a new interest in DJing and decided to take a professional course, which would improve and give him a better edge music wise. After finishing the course he continued practicing on his own decks, which he bought shortly after. Obviously this was a major advantage for him as he had all the time in the world to experiment and find his own personal style and needlessly to say, improve rapidly. Daniel by this time had improved and was ready to begin what would be an exciting and prosperous adventure in musicland and his first gigs featured him playing in small private parties, but he was always eager to learn and hopeful to make it as an established Dj, his optimism and dedication gave him the push he needed. Dtraum was now playing in very popular underground parties such as Cubik, Disorder and much more. He was also nominated for the Best Upcoming Dj in the Malta Music Awards in October 2003 at just sixteen years old. These last couple of years have been like a roller coaster for Dtraum but don’t think the ride is over yet...
