Nutkaze Bio
How do you best define a powerhouse of flow and linguistics with a multi syllable rhyme style second to none? There is only one name to suit…Nutkaze.Nutkaze has been immersed in the world of hip hop for over 10 years recording with some of the biggest names both locally and internationally including RBX of tha Dogg Pound, Blak Genius, 2148, Scrim, jMore, 2K and Dyad Souls
Familiar to the stage Nutkaze has rocked the mic at Sydney’s Booty Bar, Neo, The African Club, and various community festivals, including an appearance on Hip Hop TV as well as airplay on the Edge 96.1fm.
Battling all around Sydney Nutkaze has made a name for himself as both a deadly rhymer and a story teller.
In 2003 he formed a rap group called the Met West Maniacs but as it often happens each artist moved on to pursue solo careers so Nutkaze did the same. Working with 2day FM's morning crew with Greg Fleet, Wendy Harmer and Paul Holmes was a turning point for his career writing, producing and featuring in a segment called the rap news.
After completing the full time commercial radio broadcasting course in the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS), he worked in radio across Australia as a DJ, announcer and voice over artist until he moved back to Sydney to be closer to his son and to get back into music.
Since then Nutkaze has been hard working in the studio on his upcoming mixtape "Revolutionz: Rize of The Undaground" and album ‘Duality’ .
Writing for Duality Nutkaze has tapped into the more socially aware side of himself which is a strong theme in his music. The reason for showing this side of himself according to Nutkaze is "To educate and open the eyes of those who are blind to tyranny, injustice, oppression and even issues in our immediate society. Hip-hop has two sides to it just as we all do. There is the entertainment and the education just as in every person there is the good and the bad. There is a duality of some sort in every living creature. This album is holding a mirror up to our world and ourselves.â€
One of the issues discussed is that everything is temporary... life is temporary, money, even more so. "Think about all the money that rappers these days are talking about... If we die tomorrow, can we take any of that with us? What remains after everything is gone? When we meet our maker, whoever you believe in, and we are asked what we did here on earth are we going to talk about the material things which we pursued for all our lives, or the people who's lives we have changed? The only thing that matters is not the money and the lifestyle which we live, but the people we touch with our words while we're here. The people which we show the TRUTH and the way to the truth."

Nutkaze’s story is that of the path of the fallen and the story of redemption, which we all face. the duality in every human being. Everyone has a dark side and everyone has a light inside them. It's the age old struggle between good and evil...he’s just telling YOUR story….
….And there you have the unique difference between Nutkaze and the common rapper. Currently working on a book about hip hop education and sustainability called “Words and Works†this talented artist will find a way to get his message across to you. Astounding lyrically he is truly a profound writer and an amazing creative chanel for what you’ve felt, thought or experienced at least once in your lifetime.
To experience life is to be faced with ‘Duality’ and to experience Nutkaze is to be faced with REAL hip hop…
