The Amazing Knicker Kittens Burlesque Revue formed in early 2006, and were involved in the start-up of the Hootchy Kootchy Club at Södra Teatern they put their first show together in six weeks, and from then on it was just work, work, work! Contessa saw the Kittens and was smitten – she demanded they let her join, and, frankly, they weren’t hard to persuade…
After a spectacular premiere club with the Kittens at Södra Teatern, working with Little Brooklyn among others, Contessa joined the Kittens as they went out on their own. The troupe has performed at clubs, private parties, corporate functions and so forth. Everything from packed club nights at Södra Teatern with 600+in the audience, to rockabilly shows in a barn, to corporate parties, Stockholm PRIDE, and Afternoon Tease at Volupté in London.

The Kittens have also appeared in the leading daily papers (Dagens Nyheter, Svenska Dagbladet, Aftonbladet, Helsingborgs Dagblad, Stockholms Fria Tidning, City) as well as entertainment magazines (Nöjesguiden, People STHLM, mfl), radio (Radio Stockholm, P3), television (both local, LokalKanalen, and national, TV3) as well as had a documentary made about them (by Danish film maker Hanne Nielsen), been featured in Time Out London after their performance there and are currently scheduled to film a music video with a chart topping Swedish band.
Besides performing, the Kittens also host burlesque workshops in Stockholm. The very first one was a collaboration with British burlesque lovely Gwendoline Lamour.

Contessa in her own words:
I’m La Contessa d’Fancy Pants, all the way from 1930’s Sicily, here to entertain you with the best in burlesque. Now, I may look like a lady, but when I grab my rifle to go hunting you'd better pray it's not You I’m after! (Let's just say the villagers call me "Don", and I’ve earned it.) I’m one old school racketeer who sure knows how to peel off an evening dress in a fashion that makes audiences quiver with delight - and with or without my rifle, I’ve got some deadly curves! Forgetaboutit!
I make my living performing with the lovely starlets of the Knicker Kittens Burlesque Revue, when I'm not busy hunting, scheming with other racketeers or sipping grappa.
