JB-Sound, wie is da?? Benjahmin en Mpti, vrienden sinds jaren, opgegroeid in Schoten bij Antwerpen. Beginnen draaien in JH kaddish in schoten op alternatieve feestjes (NAD-new alternative destination) waar we vele stijlen speelden zoals hip hop, rock, electro etc. Na enkele jaren hebben we beslist enkel nog te draaien wat er dagelijks in ons hart en hoofd zit, sweet reggae music! En dus...JB-Sound werd geboren, we zijn oktober 2002. Sindsdien hebben we op vele locaties gespeeld zoals oa; kaaiman (antwerpen), happy 6 @ skateplanet antwerpen, noorderterras (antwerpen), Rumba&co (leuven), petrol (antwerpen)... JB houdt van alle soorten goede muziek, maar reggae is onze nr 1. Vooral de vibez van de late jaren 70 en begin jaren 80...DJ, rub a dub, dancehall. Originele plaatjes, gebracht in een originele stijl voor een breed publiek. Van oud naar nieuw, van traag naar snel...one drop naar ragga, lekker veelzijdig en voor ieder wat wils. Benji achter de draaitafels, Mpti achter de micro. Forward ever, backwards never!
JB-Sound, ah who dat?? Benjahmin & mpti, long time friends grew up together in schoten, a small town near Antwerp/Belgium. We started playing music as DJâ€™s in a local youthhouse playing alternative music like rock, hip hop etc... After a few years weâ€™ve decided to play only what we really like, sweet reggae musicâ€¦And so JBSound was bornâ€¦ Since then we have played several location like; kaaiman (antwerp), happy 6 @ skateplanet antwerp, noorderterras (antwerp), Rumba&co (leuven), petrol (antwerp)... We like all kinds of good music, but we love reggae to the max!! Especially the sweet rub a dub & dancehall from the late 70's and early 80's...we're trying to collect all the originals 'cuz originality we stand for... Still we play for the people, so in the dance you will hear all styles of reggae passing through. From old to new, one drop to ragga, all in a well versatile style.
