United Notions Records is a Brisbane based record label founded and managed by its own artists.We are basically taking the next step forward, and applying everything we've learned from all the CD's released, Shows organised and general moves made by us in Hip Hop in the last 10 years to all the artists and projects we are involved with.
It's a collective which helps to push and encourage it's affiliates towards greater standards in achievement and exposure. our stable of official artists includes Rainman, Tommy Illfigga (aka Tom Thum), The Coalition Crew (MC/producer Yuin Huzami, Bass player/producer Toxic Al and Turntablist Nikk C).
Other artists we are currently working with include vocalist/MC/producer Kel, MC/producer Skinz Markus (of Kryptamystik) and MC Raman. with interests in advancing a number of other acts who currently have releases in the pipeline.Our first release Rainman's "Fire in the Belly" has been well recieved nationally by fans and critics alike. The same can be said for our second release Tommy Illfigga's (aka Tom Thum) "The Unfiltered EP". you can check them out in our top friends list.We are currently finishing off The Coalition Crew follow up album, As well as a probable United Notions Compilation release, both coming later in the year.United Notions is distributed nationally by Obese Records, so all of our releases can be found in specialty Hip Hop stores across Oz, as well as in most JB hi fi's and HMV's across Australia.
