A guitarist and songwriter residing in the Chicago area. I write music that is very diverse and melodic with styles ranging from calssical guitar, acoustic folk, classic rock, Middle-Eastern and Eastern European. Most of my music is acoustic and ambient though I like to rock hard as well.Personal bio:I was born in Moscow, Russia and came to North America when I was 10 years old, growing up in Toronto, Canada. From an early age I fell in love with the music of the Beatles and always dreamed of playing music and playing guitar myself. I finally got the guitar when I was 15 and took lessons for a couple of years. In my late teens, I got into liestening to classical guitar music along with classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Yes and Queen.During my college days I got into writing songs and recorded my first CD called Time Machine when I lived in Cincinnati, under the tutelage of an excellent local guitarist and producer Chris Dunnett. The album combined Renaissance and classical guitar tracks like Anna's Drean and Bittersweet Melody to more rocking songs like Arabian Nights. Down by the Sea has elements of many different styles, starting off with a beautiful finger picked melody and then building to a powerful and dramatic crescendo towards the end.Other miscalleneous facts:Education: Have a master's degree in Biostatistics and undergraduate degrees in Statistics and in Economics.Hobbies and interests: Playing guitar, listening to music, reading, playing tennis, working out and spending time with my wife and 2 kids.
