The Way of the Sword
FIGHTING IN BATTLE
PART I
Foundation:
Speed
Balance
Timing
Any dynamic motion needs speed and endurance to become excellent; training in aerospace tactic and refining body mechanics are the first two steps for discovering balance.
Your timing may become almost right, therefore finding a good teacher—this is how you will discover timing that is near perfect.
A master swordfighter distinguishes the difference between aggressive action and counter-balance. Brute force has advantages, yet without the right timing and coordination, it can be destructive to the one administering such tactic.
PART II
Method:
Fierce
Learn to take on greater and greater challenges as advancing through the ranks. The greater your ability to overcome a greater opponent, the greater your courage; the greater your courage, the more fierce your approach becomes.
Reflex
Strength training and flexibility will aid reflex. Vigilance is wielded best by those who come face-to-face with danger or near-death. Pay attention to your surroundings; keep a sharp wit.
Furthermore, how one responds to their faith will be seen in their performance, whether or not the enemy seems too difficult. If you believe and see yourself winning you just may.
Reward
Victory is to those who know what’s best and do everything in order to protect it, save it, obtain it, and keep it.
PART III
Basic Skills:
1. Breathing
2. Balance
3. Timing
4. Equipment
5. Conditioning
6. Willpower
1. BREATHING
Taking shallow breaths or breathing less from the upper chest tends to produce rigid movement, slower thinking, and poor reactions. This technique needs to become solid. If your nervous system translates fear, begin breathing deeply from your stomach and regain focus—not tight breathing from the chest.
Composure is a signpost to courage—breathe correctly, slowly, deeply, and with ease. Exhale when you exert power and force. When thrusting forward, bellowing from your stomach may help. A roar often intimidates an opponent when fierce courage is displayed with good form.
2. BALANCE
Tripping, slipping, falling, or stumbling to the ground—these are rarely winning techniques. With two feet, we have two points of balance, and with a heavy upper body we have a low center of gravity that must be maintained. Being firmly grounded, with feet planted on the ground is a skill that must be mastered foremost. Some may decide to move off balance to make a shot, this is often a risk if the opponent counteracts your shot and throws your weight. (this may include learning “the art of falling†or learning how to catch yourself correctly and return to a counter-strike stance quickly if you do stumble)
Balance is another term for “judgment†as in the justice scales. This is the way of the sword, and one must decide how to weigh the scales evenly to overcome their enemy. The more firmly planted your feet are, and the more closely to the ground, the lesser the chance that you will lose your balance. Picking your feet up higher than an inch, or bringing your feet together is not wise. When getting a shield rush, this could be your demise.
3. TIMING
Critical shot; no matter how fast, how hard, or how powerful your shot, it is rendered ineffective if the timing is skewed. This is determined by your judgment and ability to read. The quicker you are, and the more firm—the more likely you will accomplish victory with a final blow. In this manner, signaling is important—an enemy with poor judgment will signal his moves; you ought to wait it out until you can deliver the fullest attack without any sign of your strategy. Timing is wit.
4. EQUIPMENT
The sword, the shield, and the armor that you equip will determine how much strength, power, and force you need. The heavier the equipment, the more conditioning you will require, and the more powerful your attack, however—the slower your timing will be. The lighter the equipment, the more efficient your conditioning will become, yet your attack will be rooted in stamina and reflex—however, the more vulnerable you will be.
Many men hide behind long swords and large shields—others are more courageous and choose lighter equipment, relying purely on God-given skill and divine mastery.
5. CONDITIONING
Training in the previous ways and maintaining precision skill and balance will determine the outcome of the battles to come. Learning how to discern movement and figure expectations will guide your steps in battle. Strength, stamina, flexibility, and balance—all areas of discipline need conditioned. Physical, mental, and spiritual discipline fall under this conditioning—all three are required and all three are equally important for mastery and integrity sword fighting.
The great warriors are not always the biggest and strongest on the field, because these can lack a certain mental attitude or spiritual trust—however, when a balance arrives, a great hero will rise. Foresight, creative maneuvers, wit, and tact shall grow sharper as your confidence is forged into true courage.
6. WILLPOWER
Some men are defeated before they begin the battle. Without the will to victory, there is no hope, no future, and no reward. Willpower must see the reason for everything and go for it with all force, all determination, all focus, and with all guided purpose.
This mental aspect is the hardest part to teach; spiritual disciplines can be attained through simple practice, physical disciplines are accomplished with greater work and more visible effort, and mental power is established as a battle in and of itself—this is the battle of self, and of the will.
The will is the reason behind the other two, as purpose rests within the heart and is made known from the action of the mind. Words are signals of a man’s heart, but his mind may not be ready—though he says, “I am ready, I will be very strong and courageous.†Yet his mind may be saying, “You aren’t ready, you are weak, a coward; run or die.â€
This is the downfall of many great warriors. Willpower is the signet of a man. Physical discipline will often reflect a man’s ability to carry a strong will, but spiritual balance is the sign whether he trusts God or whether he trusts himself. A man who trusts in his own abilities—even the mightiest, will fall. (Goliath Complex)
OVERVIEW
Basic Principles:
1. Knowledge – who is your enemy, what are you fighting for, how to attain victory
2. Division – mastery of frontline battlefield tactic; mastery of commanding strategy
3. Object – knowledge and rank mean nothing without precision to carry it out; the object must be carried and delivered effectively—the sword must meet the enemy
4. Structure – physical symbol of the entire reason; live by the sword, die by the sword
5. Sacrifice – giving yourself wholly to the cause; energy, devotion
6. Tactic – how well your skills are performed; how well your mind is equipped
7. Direction – which way you’re going and where you end up; whose side you’re on
Basic Performance:
1. Readiness—watchful, vigilant, and wise
2. Steadiness—allotting time and energy where is belongs
3. Activeness—go for it, the time is now; stand up, attack, defend
4. Steadfastness—don’t let go; hold tight; keep your power; hold your weapon, fight to the end
5. Performance—don’t give up; give up your life if you must, but prove your worth to the very end
6. Integrity—don’t lose hope; believe you have victory if you make it beyond this
Identities in Time
A transtemporal dimension reflects the very essence of darkness, evil, and hell. Without courage to venture forth into the world, all that would remain is this cold, dark figure who was never destined to be.

"In a Realm Beyond Sight,
The sky shines gold, not blue
There, the Triforce's Might
Makes mortal dreams come true."
A verse from the Book of Mudora
(a collection of Hylian legends and lore)
“The ancient legend says:
‘The hero will come on cataclysm’s eve,
Bearing three symbols of virtue.
The Master Sword he will then retrieve,
Keeping the knight’s line true’…
These symbols are the legendary Pendants of Virtue:
The Pendant of Courage…
The Pendant of Power…
The Pendant of Wisdom…
Only a man who has overcome his own negative thoughts and emotions can become the true hero.â€
–Sahasrahla
“It is written in the Book of Mudora: He who corrupts the Land of Gold shall fall to the shaft of the enchanted arrow of silver.â€

History( view video )
Prelude of Time
In ages past a legend was born. This legend lives true in its significance, existing eternally in its meaning and virtue.
A cape of land standing apart from the rest of the world surrounded by towering snow-capped mountains, encircled by deep waters, this is a land full of lush forests, beautiful gardens, extensive plains, meandering streams, sweeping deserts, destined to be filled with farmlands, villages, and beautiful homes throughout. This is a land chosen to be the axis of an entire world; a land given to the chosen race.
This is where the glorious kingdom was selected to be established by the triune Spirit of Power, Wisdom, and Courage; this is the land that once became desolate because of great evil, but is now inhabited by the posterity of those who were set free—once held as slaves.
This is the legacy born straight from the heart of Power; the Legend of Zelda—who’s Spirit lives and is the byword of Wisdom; the voice of the hero which echoes through time. Esteemed for her awe-inspiring beauty, grace, knowledge, vision, and understanding, Princess Zelda remains the greatest treasure of the Royal Family.
This is where the adventure of a true hero began; the legend of the chosen one with a mighty heart of Courage—the one who led the land by his sword, fighting for justice and truth; defending the entire domain and defending the land's greatest treasure. This was a land of history, a land of great judges, sages, and kings from which the hero descended. This is the land called Hyrule.
Upon suffering injustice and darkness, one must rise to face the great evils in the world, one must overcome and deny the corruption—fortunately for this land, a hero was born—and his renown is as the "Hero of Time."
