About Me

Another anthem is a punk band that was first started by Matt Holben in 2006 in the tiny town of Prospect, Oregon. Now almost three years later the band has played a hundred plus shows, toured the midwest, released an e.p, released their first full length album A TIME TO HONOR, and had the time of their lives along the way. Now with drummer Brandon Amador, and original member Logan Herzog on bass the band is writing and recording new material for their upcoming Sophomore full length entitled No Hope For Tomorrow. The new full length will be due out before summer.

Influences: We're influenced by our families, our homies and friends, our FANS, life, the underground punk scene and social, political and world issues. As far as music goes our influences are mostly based in punk rock, pop-punk and hardcore, but we touch on everything from metal to classic rock to rock to street punk to hard rock and much more. We pretty much try to put a little bit of all of our influences into each song. Hopefully that's evident in our songs. As far as bands go, we all listen to totally different things but there are a few bands that we all agree we enjoy and take influence from. Those would be; Rise Against, Against me!, Social Distortion, Pennywise, MxPx, sum 41, blink-182 , Green day, anti-flag, Bad Religion, Rancid, Nofx, Screeching Weasel, Lagwagon, Face to Face, No use for a name, AFI, Dropkick Murphys, good riddance, the briggs, The Ramones, Strung out, The bouncing souls, alkaline trio, and Metallica.
