Drums & Percussions

About Me

After graduating from the Institut des Percussions Modernes in his native France, Samuel crossed the Atlantic to further his musical studies at the LA Music Academy. Some of the teachers under whom he studied are Claude Gastaldin, Ralph Humphrey, Jerry Steinholtz, and Raynord Carroll. --------- Samuel has performed with artists such as the Elegantes Machines (led by Francis Lassus), Bill Cantos, Bill Fowler jazz trio, Dennis Lamar, Amy Sand, and has recently starting to work with Roy Ashen. Some of his recording credits include live albums with Nicolas Ternisien (with bassist Dominique DiPiazza), the New Gospel Family at the Zenith of Paris and studio sessions for Rolf Schneider, and Zorina London. From the Utopia jazz club in Paris to the Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena, he has had opportunities to work in many different venues and musical situations. --------------------- Samuel freelances for various artists (live and studio work), plays regularly with his local church's worship team, and teaches at several schools. He also accompanies ensemble workshops at the LA Music Academy (along side greats such as Steve Billman, Tim Owens, and Phil Bynoe)

Thoughts

"All that is needed for the forces of evil to triumph is for enough good men to do nothing." "We are often the answers to the prayers we pray."
