Our summers are their darkest days- they cringe curling into shivering shadow while warm feet and sandcastles are swept away in the waves of another yellow day shrouded with haze.
And what would the wise ones say?- who leaned ladders austere to escape far from here whence misery's tympanum excited a deep buried fear, not heard, but understood that a slip of the serene would more false than than a thousand awful dreams awakened in sweat just to have the Nightmares rise again!
For all the uncanny surprises a nature brings, nothing burns more than a dry heap of musky failure's stings- and valor and victor are not one in the same consumed in the end by a lordless domain wrought wretched and worried that our buckets of rain are never enough to quench the thirst of a flawless throbbing vein bent on pumping out our last desires to end all hardship and in the bottom reclaim the body and bones of what was, what is, and what became.
