I am here for Friends

About Me

My life, as well I myself, seems to change on an hourly basis at this stage in life. I would like to say I'm more mature and wiser at 57, but it would probably be an extreme exaggeration! I live in KDH, own my own home in Colington Harbour, work full time as firefighter/paramedic (not to shabby for an old broad!), love to work out but don't do as much of it as I should, love music, bike riding, reading, kayaking, spending time with family and friends. Also own my own little business (Outer Banks Specialty Baskets which keeps me busy and occupies my time. I love to laugh, I love to play, and I love to love. Life has been very tough since Larrys death but I'm trying really hard to move on with my life. I would welcome new friends who would just accept me for who and what I am and hopefully will help me continue on my journey. Problem is, I'm a bit on the shy side and don't really extend myself out. So, it's a little tough to meet new friends. But I'm working on it!I pray everybody will always remember Larry and all that he was to each of us. He taught us many memorable and astounding life lessons and took us on a unique and incredible journey that few will ever have the priviledge of experiencing. He was truly "One In A Million" and he now watches over each of us as our guardian angel. I hope he's had lots of rest because we will surely keep him plenty busy! His greatest loves and his greatest legacy were his family - especially his grandchildren, his friends, his amazing talent, our incredible and amazing relationship with each other, and his magically wonderful life where he was so unbelievably happy on the Outer Banks. He told me every day he was rich beyond his wildest dreams and whether he died old or young he would die happy because he had finally found the peace and joy of a shared and unconditional love and the achievement of having all his family in harmony with him. I have come to the conclusion that God waits until certain souls finally get it right- they have such a wonderful understanding of people and life and the Lord that he takes them home to rejoice with God and the angels in that knowledge. Larry had gotten to that point. Even during the worst of the illness there was a peace about him that was undeniable. So when we think of him, lets smile for all the wonderful memories and for the anticipation of all the great times to come when we see him again. I love all of you very much. Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your lives through him.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Larry again so we can spend another lifetime together. Somebody nice to spend fun times with and more good friends that will share their hearts and souls and lives with me so I will have more wonderful memories of this lifetime to add to the ones I already have. I'm also looking forward to meeting the women that my sons eventually pick to spend their lives with and also the experience of those women becoming my daughters.
