Decipher was a rock band from Aalborg in Denmark.
We played dynamic melodic rock, and the songs was made in a combination of the members’ different musical background.
Decipher was formed in 2001 by Henrik Godsk (vocal) and Morten Jensen (guitar). They began experimenting with different expressions in the music, by making a mixture of alternative rock music and electronic drumbeats. Later they figured it would be nice to have a real band, and in April 2002 Claus T. Madsen (drums) and Dan Jensen (bas) joined the band. After about half a year making songs, Decipher was ready to record the first demo at Quint Studio in Aalbog, with Simon Kringel from The Alpines as the producer.
In November 2002 Decipher played their debut concert at Huset in Hasserisgade (Aalborg).
In marts 2003 Henrik Godsk decided to leave the band, because he wanted to focus on his art. But Decipher quickly found a new lead singer, Mikkel Winther (vocal and guitar). He managed to be ready to play at Band Battle in Aalborg after only six days in the band. And here the band went to the final round.
In 2006 Decipher made a 7 track ep recorded at Ohm records, so enjoy the songs from this album here at Myspace.
