The Easy Mersey

About Me

The Easy Mersey is a Band that speaks for itself. Basically our Sound is of a 1960s throwback beat with of course strong influences of The Beatles. Their Musical sounds can be basically rooted Particularly on Merseybeat Sound, which gave Liverpool at that time their distinctive sound. (THE BRITISH INVASION BANDS) during the early sixties. (The Beatles early period circa 1960 -1965, Gerry & The Pacemakers, Freddie & The Dreamers, The Apple Jacks, Billy J. Kramer & The Dakotas, The Fourmost, The Honeycombs, to name a few) Plus with MOD Variants (The Early Who, The Kinks, Action & The Jam) And NORTHERN SOUL (Candy & The Kisses, Dana Gillespie, Shape And Sizes, The Buckinghams, The Zombies) A bit of Surf & Garage Rock, Blending sometimes with Rockabilly and a bit Psychedelia. Also the notion of late 70s PUNK (THE SEX PISTOLS, X-RAY SPEC ET. ALL) POWER POP (SQUEEZE, THE Dbs, ELVIS COSTELLO, NICK LOWE) It Is Fuse With Early 80s New Wave Sound of Scottish Indie (ORANGE JUICE, JOSEF K, THE PALE FOUNTAINS, AZTEC CAMERA).The Easy Mersey Has Been Around For Almost TEN YEARS Now. We started out way back in late 1995 with Albert Cruz on Vocals & Guitar, Jerry Tan on Vocals & Bass Guitar and John Espiritu On Drums & Percussion.
