About Me

I think I was singing in the womb... and it just kept on goin...
My first band was a Talking Heads tribute band called Slippery People. It was comprised of 7 college students from UGA and one Mayor's husband (our percussionist). Each musician was amazingly talented and we had a ball touring Athens bars. However, all great things must come to an end.
After 4 years, I moved to Dallas. It was in Dallas that I discovered blues and jazz jams. I began regularly visiting the fabulous Maple Point bar to sing jazz and blues on Tuesday nights. This taught me alot about improvisation and singing lead parts. Loved my experiences in this little home away from home. But again, things change....
It only took one year for me to decide I needed to get out of Texas. Oregon was calling. So, in July of 2006, I packed my little Kia Rio and drove 2200 miles to Portland, OR, where I plan to reside for a long while. I've met a great number of wonderful people and musicians and am looking forward to what the future might bring us all.
I'm currently singing for Happy Accidents and the Lair Hill Club. I'm also exploring my place in electronic music, working with Liam Cloyd (Magic From Space), The Positive Jam, and with the ever spectacular producer, Phillip Worden. Basically waiting for the big time... and by big time, I mean, making a living doing what I love most... singing.
See you folks around!
