I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm a 35 year old IT guy that loves his girlfriend Connie (aka Stepford Wife). I also love the Toronto Maple Leafs and food.
I was born and raised in Toronto. I still live in this absolutely wonderful city and have no intention in ever leaving.

My Interests

I like watching hockey and football! Teams I like are the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Green Bay Packers.
I also like playing XBox360 although I haven't ever played anything .. yet.
I especially enjoy spending time with friends and family. I have family in different parts of the States so it's nice to visit them from time to time.
Philosophy, science, geography, quantum mechanics not necessarily in that order.
Food Favorites:

Food: Tacos or chicken fried steak Cuisine: JapaneseSashimi: Toro Maki: Salmon Skin
Beers: Corona, Stella, Heineken, Becks, Sapporo Non-alc drinks: Perrier, Tim Horton's coffee Dessert: Key lime pie Restaurant: Cheesecake Factory Fastfood: In-N-Out or Wendy's

I'd like to meet:

Angelina Jolie. To put it as simple as Paris Hilton would, "She's hot!"
Mats Sundin. He's the TML captain. He's a great player and one of the all time great Leafs.
Bono. He's such a presence but also a person who uses his influence for the good of mankind. The planet needs more people like him to help change things for the better.
Brett Favre. For me, he's the definition of perseverance.
Daniel Negreanu. He's one of the world's top poker players and he's from Toronto! I remember him wearing a Sundin jersey while playing in a tourney. Way to rep TML!

Music:

U2 is my favorite band of all time. Period.
I mostly listen to whatever is on the radio from MIX99.9, 104.5 CHUM or Z103.5.
I do however like a wide variety of artists like Michelle Branch, RHCP, DRE, The Eagles, BEP, Depeche Mode, Three Doors Down, Collective Soul, The Fray, Theory of a Deadman, Paul Oakenfold, Nelly Furtado, Coldplay, Vertical Horizon, The Cure, and so on!

Movies:

My favorite movie of all time must be the Hunt for Red October. I have lost track how many times I've seen it although I haven't seen it in a few years. I think I used to know the entire script!
Other favorites would be:

Lost In Translation What the Bleep: Down the Rabbit Hole An Inconvenient Truth Bowling for Columbine Clear and Present Danger Traffic Midnight Run The Shawshank Redemption Jerry Maguire
    Trading Places
    Scarface
    Fight Club
    Pulp Fiction
    American Beauty
    Wall Street

Television:

I watch all the CSI's but my favorite is the original CSI. I don't watch as much TV as I used to but I will certainly watch every TML game I can that is on TV which is every game!
Thank you LeafsTV for showing the others ones not on RSN, TSN and CBC.
I watch 24 but only on DVD. I can't handle waiting a week to see the next episode!
I also like Da Ali G Show, Law & Order, Laguna Beach, Rescue Me, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Curb Your Enthusiasm, etc.

Books:

The last book I can remember reading was Jeffrey Archer's "Honour Among Thieves".
It is an unbelievable story about the Declaration of Independence being stolen right from the National Archives in Washington, DC and being replaced with a perfect forgery.

Heroes:

JFK. His speech at Rice University gives me chills. It goes to show if something can be thought possible such as putting a man on the moon, it can be done.
Michael Moore, Pink, Dixie Chicks and others willing to speak up and not be intimidated or silenced by influence.
    Bono. Superhuman is an understatement...

An Inconvenient Truth

This movie was very disturbing.  The basics of it is that it's about Al Gore's experience with spreading his word and using his influence to make global warming something we should be more aware ...
