ABOUT ME: Brett Tollis is a Sound Engineer living in Sydney.
Arrived back in Sydney after 99-06 in the US, playing managing, and promoting bands. Born in Sydney, I have played Piano and Saxophone from the age of 5. Picking up guitar and bass in my teens I went on to play in several influencial bands in Sydney during the 90's. Including sound/noise band "crank"(not the popular one), and the seminal punk band "Spivs".
In 1998 I worked with Intense Touring and Blakhole Records helping tour "Secret Chiefs 3", "The Damned", "Mike Patton's Maldoror" and "KK Null". In 1999 I started working as Drum Technician for L.A. Punk/Metal legends "Suicidal Tendencies", and Hed(pe), touring with them for several years, before moving on to start influencial Los Angeles band "KLeen" with John Rapp. After 4 years of touring, and a successful CD, aptly named "Fail", Kleen called it quits and I moved to New York.
In 2006, I moved back to Sydney and worked full-time as a Live Sound Engineer for the excellent bands in my Top Friends List, as well as at several venues(Annandale, Spectrum, Excelsior, etc etc).
