At first glance the entertainment industry appears to be filled with a lot of bling and promises of extraordinary amounts of cash and beautiful people, who make this money with ease, spending them. At least this is what we see at face value, but behind all the glitz and glamour there are the true Hollywood stories. The stories that no one hears about until you’ve reached the fame and glory and VH1 decides to cover your story.
As children we’ve all had those occasional daydreams about being a movie star, singer and/or rapper or at least emulated them in our thoughts. As adults some of us still ponder about taking that leap into the entertainment world but are held back because we don’t take the necessary action to transform dreams into realty. For one young Boston native Jorge Lopes, who is an actor/writer and producer his dreams, although has not yet fully developed, is becoming realty with a lot of hard work. Lopes, who is fairly new to the industry, has worked with several major players in the game such as Sticky Fingerz from Onyx, Kerry Washington from Fantastic Four, Tatianna Ali, Joe Rigano and Vinie Vella from the film Casino..His latest project is on this page. check it out.

Life, Love, & Loss Synopsis
Life, Love, & Loss is a film that depicts the choices young people face in the urban streets of America. The deep rooted need for love that all human beings posses pulls the audience into the story which then delivers a unique €œstop the violence€? message.
The film follows the lives of three native Bostonians all with specific goals that they are trying to reach at that moment in their lives. Universe, a 25-year old ex-con who is determined to remain out of prison, Victim, a 25-year old self-centered two-faced psychotic, who wants to keep his life from changing, and Devon, a 23-year old diamond in the rough, that€™s secure with his identity, is searching for real love.
As the story unfolds the audience learns that even though we are all addicted to the need to be loved, we all take different paths to arrive at our ultimate goal.
Universe, who is fresh out of prison, makes a promise to his only child, Deja, to remain out of jail and in her life for ever. He soon realizes it€™s a hard promise to keep. Six months after his release from prison he finds himself deeply involved a murder investigation.
Victim, who is content with his lot in life, is a ruthless individual who passionately craves the street life and all its pseudo glory. The only thing he wants more is having his best friend Universe by his side to enjoy the spoils of the ghetto superstar lifestyle.
Tension builds between Universe and Victim after Universe reveals his decision to make music for a living and leave the street life behind. The plot thickens as Victim spawns a sinister plot to frame Universe for murder and then kill his daughter Deja. He hopes that these events will lure Universe back into the street life he enjoys by creating a deep rooted anger in Universe.
Devon, Victim€™s younger half brother and the total opposite of Victim, represents young African Americans who were also raised in the streets but chose to become better people in life and not give into their surroundings.
In this film Devon, who is searching for a partner to share his life with, finds love amongst the bedlam that seems to be engulfing those around him. He falls for the right type of girl but the wrong one. Star, a 21 year old Hispanic girl, who is the abused and neglected girlfriend of Chino, a possessive, jealous, drug lord wanna-be, determined to rule the underworld of drug trafficking.
The story unfolds as the audience experiences the trials and tribulations of these young men as their lives present obstacles that may prevent these young men from achieving their goals and dreams.
