I've recently emerged from many years of school (BMus U of C, MMus UBC) where I studied with Allan Bell, David Eagle, William Jordan, Hope Lee, Keith Hamel and Dorothy Chang. Over the years I've participated in masterclasses with Laurie Radford, John Rea, Gary Kulesha, Manachem Zur, Jeffrey Ryan and Michael Colgrass, and have had my work read and performed by the Ensemble contemporaine de Montréal, the Land's End Chamber Ensemble, Standing Wave, and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. In 2005 I won the Land's End Competition for Emerging Composers for my piano trio 'trenje', and in 2008 I was chosen to participate in the Vancouver Symphony's Jean Coulthard Reading Session with 'seachange'. In the fall I'll be composing for Calgary Opera's in-school program 'Let's Create an Opera', and am presently freelancing as a composer, arranger, and orchestrator.Sounds professional, no?
