What do you think of when hear the words energetic indie rock? Hopefully the next time you do, you will think of Steal The Air, a five-piece from the town of Hillsborough located at the heart of New Jersey. Steal The Air's emotional energy is not just apparent in their personalities but especially in their music. What started as two friends trying to write the music they wished someone else were making, Steal The Air soon took on a life of its own. Ian Berkowitz provides the brilliant catchy guitar riffs, Eddie Patten adds powerful melodies vocally and through guitar, Chris Eannucci keeps time and rhythm on the kit, and Joe Wallace lays down the driving bass lines. Although each member has their own personal influences that come across in what they do, their collective influences include The Beatles, Weezer, Third Eye Blind and The Goo Goo Dolls. However, they would argue that they are inspired by more then just their favorite tunes, the humor of Sienfeld, a summer's day, or even French toast to name a few. Waiting for Something, Steal The Air's first CD was released in 2005. This initial effort has produced six degrees of what it is to be energetic indie rock. The six song EP was recorded with producer/engineer Chris Badami (producer of Early November, starting line, Dillinger Escape Plan) at his studio, Portrait Studios. From their so called single "Again" to the emotion in the tracks titled "Death of me" and "Grain of sand" Steal The Air has something special for everyone.
