MAKING THE VIDEO "HIP-HOP":
Nicole White, known to the music world as Protegee, is a multi-dimensional artist with superstar potential and a Music Heritage Award winner for best new artist.
In November of 2004, Protgee released a maxi single for her popular song "Still Gutta" (produced by super producer Syience). The release of this single gained her great attention in popular hip-hop magazines and websites all around the world.
In May of 2005, Protegee contributed two songs for the highly praised underground classic: "X Chromosome All Female Mixtape" which was distributed by Baltimore based label "X9 Records" and went on to sell over 21, 00 units in its' first week release.
Other triumphs include performing to sold out crowds at Myth Night Club, spirrel Bar, First Avenue, and 7th Street Entry, opening for hip-hop heavyweights: Twista, Shawnna, and Webbie, as well as performing live theatrical monologues on stage with: Vivica A. Foxx, Tracee Ellis Ross, Claudia Jordan, and India Arie at The Gathering LIVE.
2007 also shaped up to be another year of great accomplishments totaling over 9,787 download sales of her music and later hooking up Artist Manager "Leonard E. Croft", who introduced her to up and coming talented music producer "Bam Bam The Influence: out of Brooklyn, NY who has since produced four songs for her upcoming project.
In the near future Protegee will be recording again with super producer "Syience" (production credits: Jay-Z, Beyonce, Mary J. blige, Neyo and Ghostface Killah) as well as with The Phantom Boyz.
