Childress Farm was founded in 1965 by Dan and Nancy Childress after Dan's retirement from a successful lifetime career in the United States Forest Service. In those early years, the farm was known as "D.L. Childress and Sons".Dan and Nancy's two sons eventually moved to the farm after their own retirements from successful careers (Bob~US Forest Service, Scott~Public School Administration) to join their father in the family farming tradition. Bob and Scott began purchasing adjoining land in the early 1970s.CHILDRESS AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES, LLC was established in 2000 by brothers, Bob and Scott, after the death of their father.The Childress Farm now includes 440 adjoining acres of beautiful rolling hills and premium soil for producing quality products. It is located in the valley of Cottonwood, Texas (10miles NE of Cross Plains).
