About Me

About me, Let me tell you, Yeah if you don’t know I’m Deon Inman prefer Deon Inman Patterson which give you the detail of how I got the name (D.I.P). I was born at Southeastern Medical Hospital by the Mother and Father Renea McNair and Isley Inman, I was raised by the love of my life, loving and caring mother and father Shirley and James Patterson in the town of Red Springs, NC. There I learn the how to become the man I am now. They taught me the key responsibility of achieving in life Respect and being Loyalty, be a hard-worker by informing me things not going to come to you, you have to go and get what you want. As I grew I had a passion for Sports and Music. Basketball was the main thing that I love in life would do any and everything just to play with my older Brothers which taught me how to play Ronnie Patterson, Glenn Patterson, Andrea Patterson in basketball tournament. Music at a young age Francis Patterson had started a group call the “Hammer Boyz” which consist of Deon, Marquaill, and Antonio. You’ll reading this you’ll going to laugh as a Hammer Boy we use to be on the side of the road singing and doing all of MC Hammer dances and songs, as we gotten older we form the group D.M.A which is the name I’m currently using for my business. D.M.A which name was created by the initials of our first name was a Rap/RnB group. In the D.M.A group we were doing a lot of singing use to sing mostly New Edition and other RnB group. As that started to grow old we tried to write our own songs but as life was moving own everybody was going there separate way. As everybody was moving on with life don’t forget we about 7 to 8 years old doing this. When I was in the 5th grade my mother Shirley Patterson bought me a Gateway computer I started typing and writing full songs and trying to take the music real serious because my cousin Lil’ Nique and Montay which was part of the Biv 10 Pee Wee, Michael Bivins company, younger than me where being apart of the Apollo and making commercial previews and making money by the music, made me take the music even serious. I started record on a tape recorder and lying and cause my mother and father a larger phone bill by making phone calls to record companies trying to get my self out there as I made phone calls I was talking to a lot of A&R people. I started sending the tapes I had recorded off and finally got a reply back form an A&R when Loud Records was out forgotten the person name but Loud Records wanted me to visit them but the Family I was leaving with was in the church and wasn’t allowing me to go there to meet with the people so that Dream was fading away because I got mad and started deleting my files from the computer system and throwing all my rhymes away. But the passion for the music wouldn’t leave during my middle school years I was still free styling writing music again rapping with peers and teaching peers how to rap, then a business open up in Red Springs, Phantom Records which even gotten me excited I like I got a place I can go and record in a real studio not on a tape recorder. I started getting down with Phantom and then the group K.O.S and Bommas form. When King James of K.O.S and Bommas went to Atl and recorded some tracks got it jumping and as the skillz gotten better King James came with We Don’t Play which will be on the upcoming page K.O.S da Group website on myspace.com it just made everything so serious with the music. Now as you can see where K.O.S and I stands in North Carolina been doing it for a long time and know trying to get the world to know that North Carolina shouldn’t be the state that people should sleep on and as of me one of the member s of K.O.S, known by D.I.P It’s my year and I will get my deal even if it’s a promotion deal so you’ll that sleep on me I will wake you up and you will wish that you would have F*u*K with us so I Holla.
