Hello to all of you scallywags out there! This most impressive new account is dedicated to positively the best pirate any of you have ever heard of. That would be myself. I am Captain Jack, THE Pirate, and you can see me all summer long at the Colorado Renaissance Festival! I am also up for hire, for any of your piratical needs! That's right! I do birthday parties, after-proms, corperate events, and much more! Though... I do draw the line at batchelorette parties... What is an eighteenth century pirate doing at a Renaissance festival, when the renaissance spanned only the 14th to the 16th centuries?" To which I will answer, "Firstly, it's Captain Jack to you, and secondly, Robin Hood isn't from the Renaissance either, yet he is still a widely accepted character at renaissance faires. Neither are Medieval jousting tournaments, fairies, dragons, unicorns, or any number of other ren faire staples. In short, get off yer high horses, you pretentious gits! My Interests

Raiding, pillaging, plundering, and otherwise pilfering my weasly black guts out. Oh, and rum.

Sea chanties, mostly. And bands like: Pandora Celtica, The Whirly Jig Minstrels, the Corsairs, Gaelic Storm, Great Big Sea, and the (tentative) Bards of Ill Repute!

Movies:

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. Yes, I even liked the sequels. Cutthroat Island (yeah, I liked that one too, so sue me), The Princess Bride, Treasure Island (any version), Serenity (hey, it's a pirate movie... sort of.), Captain Blood

Television:

There are no Pirates on Television. This saddens me.

Books:

Treasure Island, Kidnapped, The Aubrey/Maturin series, The Brethren of the Coast Series (The Guardship, The Blackbirder, and the Pirate Round), Captain Blood, The Three Musketeers, the Count of MonteCristo

Heroes:

Edward Teach, Bartholomew Roberts, William Kidd, Calico Jack Rackham, Captain Sir Henry Morgan (AKA Bruce Eyton), Professor Loquacious (AKA Rob Rice, GrÃ¡inne O'Malley (Lollie), The High Lord Sheriff of Larkspurshire (Tom Rehn) and pretty much anybody who has acted as a mentor to me at CRF over the two seasons I've worked there.
